Yeast Free Spelt Bread
Ingredients
- 4 cups spelt flour (white, wholemeal or a combination)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbs of sweetener e.g. maple syrup, rice malt syrup or honey
- Optional toppings- pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds or chopped nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees
- In a Thermomix or food processor, mix together all ingredients until well combined
- Pour mixture into a loaf tin that has been lined with baking paper
- Sprinkle with optional toppings
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until golden
- You can test if the bread is ready by tapping the top. If it sounds hollow it is ready
