How To Incorporate Meditation Into Your Daily Routine

How often throughout a day have you felt overwhelmed with the amount of tasks you have to tick off your list and wonder how it is going to be possible to get them done and actually sleep at night?

Yep I’m guessing most of you are nodding your head right now…

One way to become more mindful and help you to deal with this fast paced world we live in is to include daily meditation into your routine.

Meditation has been being practised now for thousands of years and anyone who does it will testify to the huge benefits that it provides to you. It  is scientifically proven to reduce stress, reduce anxiety, promote good sleep, improve your memory and increase your relationship satisfaction.

  • Start off by setting aside 10-20 minutes everyday at the same time if possible. I find in the evening works best for me. I finish having dinner and tidying up the house, jump into the shower and put on some comfy pj’s.
  • Play some calming meditative music or download one of the many meditation apps such as Headspace

My tips on creating the perfect meditation space at home

  1. Add some life to your meditation space by having a cute little plant or some cyrstals to look at
  2. Set the mood and create a calming atmosphere by dimming the lights.  I have this iDual LED light which allows me to change the light level in the room and I can even change the colour of the light too using a remote control. Sometimes it is nice to fill the room with a warm colour like orange and pretend i’m meditating on a warm tropical beach.

The iDual range is avaialble fromiDual LED light . Here’s a link to the lamp I have.
