Nutella Smoothie

I’ve got chocolate on my mind big time!!!! Even though I eat a well balanced diet the majority of the time, I do like to indulge sometimes too. Sometimes that temptation to indulge can creep up on me and I realise that I am indulging wayyyy to often.

That’s when I need a little something to kill the cravings and one of my smoothies ALWAYS hits the spot 🙂

This nutella smoothie is so chocolatey and thick. It is hands down amazing.

Free from any refined sugar, gluten and dairy, this smoothie is jam packed with goodness to keep you feeling feel for hours.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts (the flavour is even better if they are dry roasted)
  • 2 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 avocado (this is optional, but it does make it super creamy and delicious)

Chocolate Syrup (optional)

  • 1/2 tbls coconut oil
  • 1 tbls raw cacao powder

Toppings

  • Chopped up hazelnuts
  • Cacao nibs

Method

  1. Add all smoothie ingredients to your food processor or Thermomix and whizz until fully blended and smooth. (TM Speed 10, 1.5 mins)
  2. Mix together syrup ingredients in a small bowl and pour inside the serving glass
  3. Pour in the smoothie and top with chopped up hazelnuts and cacao nibs
